Well, Filbert on day 3 is just more of the same sweet temperament we saw from the beginning. He is quiet, gentle, low key. Wants to be around people but doesn't get pushy. He doesn't even beg for food. But when you pick up the dog food bowl, boy does he know what that's all about! He's super excited then and can't wait to eat.
Tonight I was sitting on the lounge chair when the first little firecrackers went off in the neighborhood. Katie our original beagle got a little worried, and since Hector's lap was full with a computer on it, she came over and jumped onto me. Filbert saw this and assumed he should do the same, so he started to climb up on me, Katie climbed higher and higher, until she was straddling my head with her paws on both of my shoulders, sideways (back paws on one shoulder, front on the other).
Filbert just kept climbing and I told Hector to run in for the camera, hoping he'd stay put for a shot or two. Katie jumped off to follow Hector but luckily Filbert stayed and then started snuggling in even more!
